For the Doha 2006 Asian Games, we designed a master plan, including housing, offices, sports facilities, and a state-of-the-art hospital facility that would remain after the games. The master plan was based on creating an efficient and contemporary layout, with optimized circulation and abundant green spaces, all based on the vernacular patterns found in Arab communities. Courtyards were organized to provide privacy and to optimize air circulation based on prevailing wind patterns.
